Ribble have a stunningly cheap TT frame. You could fairly easily get it built with basic parts and a few second hand bits for £300.

    Frame.

Much of the kit off the Dawes would fit on, yes.

At a minimum, you'll probably need:
    Headset
Fork (you may be able to take this off the Dawes, but maybe not)
Handlebars (I'm assuming you're after a TT setup rather than drop bars)
    Brake levers
    Bar end shifters
Seatpost, if the Dawes seatpost is a different size to what the Ribble needs.

That's about it, as a bare minimum. Then bits can be swapped out as needed.

Edit: Thinking about it, it is possible to mount the STIs you have on the Dawes on the base bar, saving the immediate need for new brake levers and shifters. You will lose the advantage of being able to shift from the aero bars though.

You can buy it complete... But builds based on that frame start at £739...

Harry middletons in Ormskirk may have TT frames. I've seen them in there before. Since Formby Cycles moved to that big place by tescos it seems to haver added a few quid to their frames but you could try them I suppose.

You could also check out Terry Dolan. He seems to have two websites goign at the mo, namely italian solutions and dolan-bikes.com

    good luck

    Depending on your size...
Proto is selling a Giant Trinity TT frame in classifieds.
That would make an excellent first TT bike build, I know, I've just built one out of bits sourced on here, or on deals on 't 'net...
