OK, so we'v all become acustomed to the obligatory pack of sweets, But a very nice 1L water bottle with CRC 25 th branding coming free, unrequested with my aorder this morning is taking it to new extremes! it was only a £37 pound order of 2 small tools and an XT hub out of which to nick internals!

awsome!

I got one of those "For Goodness Shakes" sachets free with my last Wiggle order. I can't even remember what it was, so it can't have been too expensive!

    I use water bottles.

Wonder what would happen if I ordered a Camelbak from them.

I've yet to have any useful freebie from CRC or Wiggle.

    Haribo sweets give me wind.

    I don't use waterbottles

    I have enough bottle openers.

I'd rather they both used the free gift funds to make sure that their websites were upto date and I didn't order stuff that showed in stock only to be sent an email 2 days later saying that it wasn't in stock.

No freebies from Merlin (well not for me anyway) or LBS. No problems.

+1 to the rest though. I'm waiting on a BB from CRC at the moment, so hopefully i'll get a useless freebie too

well im not moaning. I might not use water bottles, but its a nice bottle, and they are useful for non biking activites, and occasionaly when i go for a quick blast ride i think it would be good to use a bottle as taking a full camelback on a 45 min ride seems exessive.

Yeah, I take a water bottle on short rides, it's less hassle than sorting out the camelbak each time.

What happens if you place an order for a water bottle? Do they give you a free camelbak?!

best gift has got to be MBUKs socks that appear every now and again.
i got like half a dozen pairs of trek and 1 set of norco ones.
last ages and fit well. plus the wife wears em and loves em too.

worst gift has to be the sticker sheets. we all love stickers but some of the brands on there suck. buff? gussett?

I have yet to receive any freebies from either Wiggle or CRC, including in the CRC package that arrived yesterday :(

I wonder if there is a minimum order value in order to get them...?

I got a water bottle last week with a £108 order. Gave it to my 7 year old who's taken it to school every day since. It's the little things that please him :-)

CRC give the best free gifts, though they aren't intentional. I had some CX handlebars once and what a faff to send back not refunding enough postage and then taking a £5 goodwill voucher value out of what they owed me for another wrong item, lead me to inform them anything else they sent me that wasn't ordered will be accepted as a free gift in a gesture of goodwill,

All I am saying is I have some love for CRC

I'd only ordered an £8 frame protector from CRC.

If they hadn't put the bloody water bottle in it would have gone through the letterbox instead of me having to wait three days to find the time to waste an hour going into town to the PO to collect it. Bloody water bottle!!!

If all you chaps that say they don't use bottles went on proper rides instead of just nipping through the woods for 10 minutes, you might find you need a bottle and a hydration pack

    Water in hydration pack

Gatorade etc in bottle cos its easy to clean ;)

I got one of the free crc bottles with one of my ordered from them. It leaks around the neck of the bottle! can't complain though, it was free after all. Looks good though!

Got my free CRC bottle last week, nice item and just the job as I needed two for a long run the next day and only had one lying around :-)

Happy to say mine doesn't leak.

It's amazing how much some folk charge for a basic water bottle.

Nothing makes a Scotsman like myself as happy as a freebie (or two) :-)

I'd be happy just to get an order sent out in a timely manor from CRC.

Placed a £280 order with them all for parts that were listed as "in stock".

9 days later i get an email saying that 1 of the parts where not in stock
In the end it took them 11 days to ship my order.

I requested that because they were so slow in processing the order they should ship the order (at their expense) on a faster courier service.

They did not respond to my emails nor did they send on a faster service.

I'll not be using CRC again that's for sure

I second this - Water in a hydro pack and energy SiS powdered drink in a bottle.
