His & Hers holiday recommendation

Hi. Anyone got any thoughts on a summer holiday destination, ideally somewhere I can either take my bike or hire one, whilst there also being somewhere for the GF to enjoy herself. She is not into biking despite my efforts and she would be looking for more R&R, sunbathing, nice restaurants etc.
I had though about Lake Garda italy. I am pretty sure you can hire bikes but am unsure if there is any decent riding there?
Am open to other suggestions, budget is fairly flexible.
Cheers

There should be plenty of biking options there.
I stayed in Riva Del Garda(at the very north of the lake)a couple of years ago,but unfortunately didn't get any biking in.
There was a few bike shops, and a few bike hire/tour operators in Riva, and a drive/ferry ride south east of Riva was Malcesine which has a bike hire shop(both DH and XC) at the bottom of cable car which had two drop off points.
The scenery is probably some of the best you will see,and I was kicking myself I couldn't get out on the bike.......oh and the reason I didn't get out on the bike......well I was on honeymoon and saying to the wife "well I'm fecking off for the day on my own, what you up to?" wasn't really an option!..0 -
I thought Les Gets would be great for people who preferred the more sedate pace of life - there's a fantastic natural lake to lie beside all day and toast yourself and read a book/have a snooze etc (some of the hotels in town also have pools as well), plus there's a couple of health spas for treatments and plenty of little cafes and restaurants etc.
Is it just biking she doen't like? If she's happy to do other stuff there's plenty of white water rafting/horseriding/paragliding activities taking place too?0
