finding my route, Bournemouth to lands end.

hi all,
me and a mate are looking to do a trip from bournemouth (maybe elsewhere in hampshire/dorset to round the distacne up or down if needed.) to finish in lands end.
will take 2 or 3 days to do and have a palce to stay in dartmouth with family one night as its close to halfway.
basically we were sat in the pub talking about doing some lovely costal rides and it turned into this.
however, we want to stick near to the coast as much as possible, but how do we start planning?
any advice is much appreciated, have already seen sustrans but it doesnt help me much on this!
