Things that make you shudder

That's not much in this world that will make me squirm but the past few days have been somewhat of a squirm-fest!

Last night I was half-asleep in bed, cat curled up on my chest fast asleep. I felt this itch on the my right face cheek, I scratch it and think nothing of it. This morning I awoke to a HUGE spider, with its legs wiggling two inches from my mouth, 2 legs removed. I almost gagged!

Just this moment, as I'm 'hiding' in bed, I see movement out of the corner of my eye, on the wall, moving ever so slowly up. I look and it's a feck off Hornet! Bloody huge thing. I hate wasps and hornets, so I shoo the cat out of the room (she follows me everywhere), grab my drinking glass and contemplate what I'm about to do - I catch it in the glass with one of my playing cards - the noise it made in the glass was awful, I felt so sickly. It was released outside but did make a dart back towards the open door, so I ran in making the noise of a big nancy, slamming the door behind me.

I don't know where that hornet had been hiding but thank god I hadn't rolled on it in my sleep, or the cat had tried to play with it.

My brother hates cats, when he was a kid he used to shudder at the very sight of a moggy. I remember this ginger cat which visited us coming in, running straight to him and flinging itself on his lap. I have never heard him scream like a girl before = 'get it off, get it off!'.

We have some irrational fears, although some are justified (and therefore not irrational...), what's yours?

Not keen on snakes but that seems pretty rational when you think about it. That's it really.

Great white sharks and polar bears. If Passout thinks its "rational" to be scared of snakes in Lancashire then sharks and bears are on my list.

I don't go on holiday to places that have animals that can kill me. Well apart from jelly fish and actually quite a few other things if I think about it.

I got mangled 2 sundays ago, at the end of the night I was drinking neat pastis 45 that was years old. I honked everywhere at about 3 am. I shudder to think of the taste now and feel bilious just thinking about how much I drank and how bad my hangover was.

kids on 2 strokes and full grown men on superbikes in shorts and t-shirts! no gloves!

I can just picture the nurse scrubbing the palms of their hands with a stiff bristle brush.

been a biker for years and even in 30 degree heat always wore proper gear because of this image

(even push bikers with no gloves makes me cringe)

Touching birds (feathered ones) - cannot do it. Wife and kids bought a budgie a few years ago and while it was in the cage I quite liked the little guy, but every Friday night after the kids went to bed and she'd had a few glasses of vino, Mrs pdstsp would let lose the little feathered bast#rd. I would sit stock still for a few minutes and then run from the room in a cold sweat.

I squirm when I imagine slipping while shaving and slicing off a layer of my eyeball with the razor blade.

Not so much a shudder, but when, as a child, I inadvertantly bit into a chocolate bar with some metal foil still attached. The moment it made contact with my mouth full of fillings I felt one of the most unpleasant feelings I have ever had.

I'm glad that foil-wrapped chocolate bars are a thing of the past.

That could be taken two ways...

After you've just unloaded inside her or the opposite affect.

If it's the former, you're playing a dangerous game.
