A tour across central Europe in the next summer

Hi,
I'm planning a tour from the Italian side of the Alps to the North Sea.
There will be naturalistic mountain areas, lake beaches, small historical towns along the river, big towns; and at the end, a bit of sea dunes and some days in the artistic-contemporary atmosphere of Amsterdam.
I studied the way with attention, to follow long distance cycle paths only: often they are roads which are really reserved for bicycles, and sometimes they are small country roads with a very very low number of cars.
