2009 enduro expert

can anyone tell me why my rear shock does not return to its full lenght when no one is on the bike it measures 195mm eye to eye it should be 222mm it is only 6 months old

    what is the shock? and can you extend it fully?

    well a quick look says it should be a
    Specialized AFR Shock w/ Spike valve, air spring, adj. rebound and low speed compression, 7.875x2.25"

    and 7.875" is just about 200mm so i would say there is nothing wrong and maybe you should measure again.

    its a specialized own shock ihavent tried it off the bike

    the manual says it is 222.5mm which means its approx 27.5mm short i think

    no it is speced with a 200mm shock. the 2006 version had a 225 i2i shock. according to the Spesh site every Enduro SL Expert had a 200 i2i.

    contact your local Spesh dealer for confirmation of the correct i2i.

    the rear shocks on the those bikes are super unreilaible, i got through 2 shocks and 3 forks in the less than 12 months on my enduro carbon before i had enough and demanded a refund! your best bet is send it back to you LBS!

    are you sure that when you measured it you didnt do that 6 and 9 thing!!!!!!!!!!
