This bike seems to have an ace Spec for under £500 has anyone got one or ridden one.
What do they think??

    Bought one just over a year ago here in France for €500, some of my friends have €2000-€3000 bikes and were well impressed with the RR 8.1.

    Just for reference i think the 2008 model (mine) is an aluminium grey colour, the 2009 model a dark red colour, very little spec change between the two.

    The only thing I would recommend is to change the tyres if its fitted with Michelin XC type as they are rather prone to punctures, think Michelin pushed the weight down a bit too far.
    Every time I go out, I think I'm being checked out, faceless people watching on a TV screen.....

    Ended up buying a carrera fury ex display in the sale. Similar spec and fairly cheap.
