what do i need? tool wise? are all the required tools in this kit?
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=40997
and how hard is it? i know theres a risk of cross threading the BB and knackering the frame, would i be wiser to spend the £40 for the tool kit on taking it to a shop to have it fitted?
bike is a kona coiler (2006) im going to be removing RaceFace Ride XC triple and replacing with SLX crankset

thanks in advance

looked on Parktools they have lists of what is needed for each BB."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

cheers nick.
just had a little read of parktools, looks like i need a torque wrench as well...
also, im not sure what type of BB i have a t the moment, but im pretty sure its not an external one, im guessing that means im going to need the frame facing?
i think i answered my own question there...
any idea how much it costs to have the frame faced and new cranks/ bb installed? just a rough idea so i know im not getting ripped off0 -
Facing should be about £15-20 alone, not sure about crankset and BB fitting
A torque wrench isn't essential if you are just starting out, just do the bolts and stuff up to a reasonably tight level, dont do it so hard you have to practically stand on your tools to get it undone
common sense really0
