Well the new series of teh prisoner has just ended. What did you think of it? A desert in Namibia in place of portmerion, higher production values and a cgi rubber ball. But was it better? I rather liked the aesthetic ie slow and thoughtful but it lacked the manic craziness of the original, there was no sense of angst or wacky danger; maybe somethings should be left alone.
The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.

The new version was pants. I wasn't too impressed at episode one but gave it another go. It just wasn't as 'dark' as the original. It was like a juvenile, sanitised version that just didn't hit it for me.

In fact - it was an insult to Patrick McGoohan.
