Hi -
Has nayone got any suggestions as to the best spoke magnet for alloy spokes. I don't want to damage the surface or weaken my spokes by screwing an aggresive edged type magnet against the spokes on my nice new wheels. The Garmin one I have looks like it may mark the spokes.

simplest might be to just put a piece of insulating tape around the spoke at the point the magnet attaches, this'll stop the edge of the magnet marking the spoke

or put a thin rubber/plastic washer between magnet and spoke
my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

What sort of alloy are your spokes? :?

Agree with neodynium magnet, either araldite or self-amalgamating tape.

I don't think the magnet is going to break your spokes

What is this alloy???? That's a stainless steel alloy I presume.

Surely the bit that touches the spokes is flat/smooth. The knurling is for grip when tightening it.
