This is a frame transplant to my old summer training bike, but with a general update of bars/stem etc. Not meant to be a bling bike, it gets a good thrashing! It's a light, stiff frame - looks good too.
[The Sportive Ti frameset didn't size up right for me, I need a 570mm+ effective top tube to give me the right reach with a (max) 120mm stem and compact bars, but I'd have needed the XXL sportive frame and that has an immense head tube so I'd have been too upright.]
Planet X Ti Pro Road (size L).
Columbus Carve full carbon Fork (currently with 30mm of spacers, could come down by at least 10mm).
Orbit XL2 headset.
9-speed ultegra 6500 STI and front mech (braze on with band-on adaptor).
10-speed ultegra 6600 rear mech.
10-speed 105 chainset but with TA Hegoa Plus 50/38 rings. (HT2 BB - ultegra I think)
9-speed HG73 chain and KMC link.
Ultegra 6600 brake calipers with Koolstop salmon (back) and black/salmon (front) pads.
Planet X 27.2 superlight team seatpost (with shim to fit 31.6 seat tube).
Fizik Arione Saddle.
Specialized comp set stem 120mm (set to -6deg)
FSA Omega Compact 42cm bars.
Look Keo Sprint pedals.
Elite bottle cages (mismatched - oops)
Random 32 spoke training wheels. Rear is a Powertap SL on Open Pro, Front is Ambrosio something or other (Evolution?).
Michelin Krylion Carbon tyres.
Ultegra 12-21 9spd cassette.
