    Cool!

Wouldn't last two minutes in Bolton, some scallies would nick 'em for their front 'gardens'.
  • I liked this one on the South Bank called Sally, very striking close-up:

I think it is the same organisation/charity that has organised it. The elephants are all done by artists/local groups IIRC.

The Norwich elephants were auctioned off after a few weeks, many still in the city. My favourite is still this one at the bus station.

Anyone got anymore photos of the Elephant Parade. I knew this was on and there are some very famous artists commissioned to do some 'phants.

I'd like to see what Jack Vettriano done on his

I'm not going to be in town to see this so as many photos as possible would make me smile.

Not been in the bus station, only through it on the 'Park n Ride' bus.
There are still a few about, and it was a nice display of local talent, that brightened the area for a while.

They're all over Bolton, thousands of them! Seen a few over the weekend with crop-tops on. You get two on the pavement and they completely block it, you have to walk in the road to get past them.

Having been very over weight myself in the past I don't know how they put up with it. I couldn't walk upstairs without being out of breath. I slept until lunch, went to bed at 9. The diet consisted of pizza (I'd think nothing of eating a 12" Canadian...open joke for someone there), chips, rustlers burgers (which now make me feel sick when I see them).

I used to joke about it, and sometimes still do (her kids don't walk next to her, they orbit around her) but I do feel pity for them. It's an epidemic now, there's overweight people everywhere - we'd be so screwed if there were a zombie invasion  Cardio, cardio, cardio!

They're doing something similar with Dragons around Newport apparently. My daughter's school are having to design one for our village and it was her homework this weekend - will post a photo of it if she wins

That's odd. The route map (http://www.elephantparadelondon.org/ima ... utemap.pdf) lists the Vettriano elephant as being in Burlington Arcade. (No 120, The singing butler rides again). There are 2 elephants in the arcade so there's a 50% chance that this one is a Vettriano.

I'm sure you're right. It was originally in T Sq and they've moved it since. I may stroll along Picc' later, have a coffee, and see them.

Aggieboy has the right elephant (the one with the bloke on top of it), and it's in Burlington Arcade. I think it was in Trafalgar Sq as part of the opening promotion and was then moved.

Aha, cheers, puzzle solved. Meanwhile we've managed to track down the 3 Greenwich elephants. Would you believe I managed to miss this as I cycled into the market?

Back in the late 90s I was in a local fast food chain known as Wimpys. The place was packed but I found a table and I got my Gran somewhere to sit. Shortly after this Moo wobbles in with her son orbiting around her. She sits at our table, says nout to us, places an order and proceeded to throw food down her throat like Homer Simpson on steroids - it was an horrific sight.

Her son looks at my Gran, smiles in a really weird way, then starts stuffing food into his face hole like a pig in a trough.

We both felt sick, made out excuses and left. I have never been in a fast food outlet since.

Those elephants are cool... really brighten up the place. As for the burgeoning obese population; I spent the last 12 days in Japan and saw two (2) overweight people, no 'exaggeration'.

They eat sensibly in Japan; not through lack of wealth, but through being educated and taking a bit of pride in themselves. It's about time that places like Boston - in Lincolnshire - looked in the mirror and shaped the fu€k up.

I think they should have a race to see who can go to every elephant in the shortest time and the winner gets the elephant of their choice . I would choose the Jack Vettriano elephant because the butler on it looks like Charlie Chaplin
