Twisting sensation, only on commuting bike

Hi have converted a vintage roadie into a single speed.
I have set it up to match the geometry of my road bike. Recently added some proper road bars to give some more width and height.
Only thing is, i sometimes feel i am not centered on the bike and i want to twist to the left. I only get this on my commuting bike. I have checkd everything and it looks symmetrical i.e. no bumps. Only think is, you have to almost bend the fork slightly to get the front wheel in, could this cause a problem?
My cleats are very loose on each side, again, could this cause a problem. p.s i notice it most with a rucksack on.

hmmmm... could 'vintage' frame or forks actually be out of true?
If it is, you will feel this whilst using it and possibly feel the need to twist to the left.
Only a guess. It could just be something simple like adjusting your rucksack straps!FCN = 40 -
Have you checked the frame alignment? Ignore the parts about spreading the frame in this article, go about two thirds of a page down.0
