Ok, so my dad is defiant i am a smart arse know it all, so i'll keep up the act with him by asking you lot :P
I've met a girl at uni and we've got on quite well. I'm a bit curious though as she seems to ask questions racing/cycling etc, so i talk quite a lot about it. I wanted to know, do girl's once they realise you have an obsession with a sport, watching endless youtube clips of the protour in flemish, shaving your legs, racing all weekend etc etc (You know the traits), get turned completely off?
Should I try to hide the cycling in order to keep her interested or from your experience are they just not worth it when you have less money to buy components?
I really widh i was Vinokourov, he wouldn't have such petty queries! :)

I suspect any obsession will be an issue, though strangely not shaving your legs. I would certainly play it down and hide the cycling videos or she will see it as a threat. But don’t be in denial.

From my clouded memory of student daze sorry days, sorry better not go there. However as a cyclist you will have several advantages, you participate in active sport and are therefore in good physical condition, the leg shaving is always good from a female perspective and we tend not to be ar*e holes unlike football obsessives.

    Its all good enjoy.

Hmmm, girlfriend or better components? That's a tough choice but since I have neither I'll just say since she asks and is willing to listen, this is an obvious sign that she is very interested in you and wants more . Don't overdo the cycling babble and make sure you show you're interested in her life as well. After you're married for 30 yrs she'll be happy that you have a hobby that gets you out of the house for awhile so she can spend some more time with her friends or whatever.

At such a young age you don't need cycling, get a girlfriend and you'll be at it like rabbits - that keeps the weight down. Soon as you move in together, have a sprog, get proper jobs and stop having sex THEN you can obsess on the bikes again - until then it's over man, OVER!

As long as you don't try and force your love of cycling on her then it should be fine.

My gf likes me shaving my legs (she's not too keen when I leave it a few days though and there's stubble! watch out for that one!), she also subtly (or so she thinks) tries to get me to wear shorts more often when meeting her friends to show off my leg muscles......the rest of me isn't much to look at to be fair!

Oh and don't buy new stuff for the bike, then later say you don't have enough money for an aniversary present......that doesn't go down well!

Put her in lycra, and post some pics.

THEN I'll give my "1/2 Century of Knowledge of Women" advice, lol!
