I'm not his biggest fan, but his reasons are pretty sound.

    Sadly the euphemistic 'spending time with his family' is often trotted out where there are suspicious circumstances - but from hearing Scott's family situation, it's understandable.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    Without sounding like I'm prying, I didn't realise Sunderland had a sick son - hope he is okay.

    Anyway, regardless, good luck to him. He's given a lot of time and energy to cycling, and in helping Team Sky start off.

    All the best to him. Families are great; None of us really ever spend enough time with them.
