It is now under way
and
with a back end being built aroun this
There's a set of Easton Havocs to go on yet the the brakes to decide upon any thoughts?

Sweet!
Agree with Ben about the Bash. The more hardcore version of the raceface one I recommended him would be ideal. Something like the Atlas Freeride version. Not really a massive issue though.
As for brakes. Saints get REALLY impressive reviews, they'd be ideal for somewhere like Morzine. If you've got a good budget, maybe Formula The ONE. On a bit more of a budget, Elixirs are brake of choice for a lot of people at the moment.0 -

So, what in morzine are you intending to ride?0

Everything I can lay my hands on!
But I'm taking out a few bikes not just this one.I'm going to blow the bank on a new build ( within reason ) NOW DONE!!

Good, cause the braking bumps on Pleney are abysmal. You'd regret only having a hardtail.
(I presume you're also visiting the rest of portes du soleil?)0 -

On a 456 build that's a moot point..... - TART!

I bet my 456 is lighter than your BFe will be!0 -

No doubt - but my build is better than yours
Seriously, mine will come in at around 32lb - but that's how I want it0 -
Mine is far less and how I want it. Better? Not likely!0

Last year we rode for 13 days, think we only spent 2 riding in les gets/morzine, the rest was spent in Chatel/Morgins/Champery/Avoriaz. This year I'm staying in chatel as it makes more sense.0 -
Back to which bikes to take so...
2005 S-Works enduro
2009 Rockhopper for the trail riding
And this build for some inbetween fun
I initially wanted to build a down hill / freeridey bike but am undecided ( the price of the Cove STD shot up at CRC ) as to what to get. When I saw the price of the summer season I thought I'd build this up with the view to having it ready then later on in the year get a Cove STD price dependant and swop the kit across - or something like that
More piccys to comeI'm going to blow the bank on a new build ( within reason ) NOW DONE!!

Should have had more bits on but Merlin only ran out of brakes I'd ordered, then didn't send rest of order because of that
Anyway
Easton Havoc wheels on
And gone for a Gold bar but I'm not to sure yet might look bettre when it's got brakes and shifters on

What you need for that build is some very reasonably priced, '09 White Avid Codes with 185mm rotors
Other than that, it's VERY nice.
I've fallen out with my Atlas bars. I may or may not chop them down, but they're just too wide. They move my weight too far forward on the bike and make it feel really unstable on steep descents.0 -
Now got all the bits----Just need time to put it together
and a new set of shoulders after planting myself at Farmer Johns yesterday!
So hopefully have it ready tonightI'm going to blow the bank on a new build ( within reason ) NOW DONE!!
