Doing the Tour of Wessex and its my first sportive and i would like to know how the feed stations work so i know how much i will need to carry in the way of energy products.

    from experience, the feeds are great, the sandwhiches just the ticket and plentiful.
    Probably worth having a bar ot two just in case


    My favourite sportive, im there for the sunday stage only this year. superb ride to the south coast and back via the neolithic rapist.

    I cant remember exactly, but I seem to recall from the Saturday ride, 1st two feed stations were at the top of the big climbs, ( Old Wells road, Burrington Coombe ) but the route IIRC is reversed this year for the Saturday ride. Where as above the choice was excellent, sandwiches / rolls. I am sure jelly babies, bananas and energy drink / water all available. The third stop was just water only and didnt have by the time I got there any food.

    The energy drink is normally the Torq stuff.
