Decent bike with budget of £200

hi there. i am new to this forum.

im am looking for a bike which is of good quality (not like those random £100 full suspension bikes lol).

i am going to be using the bike for travelling but nothing to serious and long distance (roughly 7 miles tops)

which bike would you recommend with such a budget ? as i dont have a clue
i also dont mind buying a dirt jump bike

also, how much is a used, decent condition GT Avalanche 2008 disc 1 worth ? is it defiantly worth paying £200 for ?

would a reebok radium/core (following links) be a good ride for £170 (at my local bike shop) . however i do intend on changing the gears for the reebok bikes if i do purchase it.

At that price I'd scour ebay or gumtree for a used bike.

You'd be surprised how many folk buy a bike with good intentions only for it to get used twice then left in the shed.

There are real bargains to be had, I bought an almost unused 1200 quid Cannondale for 400.
