Hello !!
Just got into this road bike lark after doing all my riding off road in the Peaks on a MTB.
I have just got a Trek Madone so can fit the Duo Trap on the rear chainstay and was all set for getting the Node 2 computer but read a few issues with battery life on the unit...not sure how bad or true this is ..
But now I am looking at getting the Garmin Edge instead, I know its a lot more money but I should be able to use the Garmin both on and off road for all the stuff the Node 2 does but with the Garmin having mapping as well as a few other features, Also I have seen on forums people talking about the Garmin having not a great battery life for full day rides

One last thing, The Garmin will work with the Duo Trap (ANT+) to get all the cadance readouts without the need for strapping anything else to the bike ??

Anyone got any views on the above

Cheers

Andy

ps, I was just going to get a £30 cat-eye until I saw the slot in the chain stay ...bloody road bikes !!!

you would ned to get two sets of maps if you want to use it off road and garmin topo maps do not have the same level of detail as OS. battery life is stuning and in my experience will last about 16 hours.

not sure about ANT+ as I dont use that feature. its the best bike purchase ive ever made
