what's going on there then. A one eyed monster that appeals to kids....who designed them? Gary Glitter?
The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.

    :D

Soon coming to a Poundland bargain bucket near you. What 4 year old wouldn't want a frightening one eyed doll based on a metallic industrial design?

    A new low.

I've developed my own "merchandise concepts". Called "EPO" and "Transgender", both represent the depths people will go to in order to succeed in the morally corrupt and advertising-saturated modern Olympics.

800_ap_mascots_100520.jpgIf this is what you're refering to it's lucky that they don't have a 'Japs eye'!

Although the one on the left looks suspicious ...

    Very possibly, but.....

The first thing that came to my mind was, why have they got cycling helmets?

Note:- This applies to the cartoon versions, not the dressed up people.
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

The paralympic mascot is wearing a helmet. The other one has three points on its head which represent the three medals for each event. The eye is a camera. I can't remember the rest but it was in a news article somewhere today!

I like them. Well, the cartoon versions. Not so sure about the costumes. But then again, I've seen a Peppa Pig costume and had nightmares for months afterwards.

I can't figure what everyone was expecting, but I'm sure various media outlets love having a 'knock the Olympics' story, especially as the building work is on-schedule (East London Line opens this week, yeh!) and not much over-budget.

Here is a useful list of previous mascots. http://www.quadrodemedalhas.com/en/olympic-games/olympic-games-mascots.htm
