Hi

Can anyone put me in the right direction for a half decent bottom bracket for my Kona Kula Deluxe. Iwant something that is robust yet light. I don't fancy paying the earth but will pay approx £30 for a bottom bracket.

Any ideas please guys? Also once i have the bottom bracket i can just put my crank straight on it yes?

Thanks

what are the cranks? as that determines what BB you need.

I have no idea at all as to the version of the cranks as they are the cranks which i had taken off my old Cinder Cone. They are 2001 version.
The kula is the 2005 kula deluxe (red/white paint scheme).

most likely a Square taper fitting.

they are all much the same but you will need to find out what axle length you need. Most likely to be 113mm BUT you are going to have to check what you have first. as the original one fitted to the cinder cone could be either 110mm or 113mm

Thanks Nicklouse. Do you think it would be easier to take the crank off and take it to my LBS and get them to sort out the bottom bracket?

well take the BB out and see what it is as the info is stamped on it. (or when the cranks are both off measure the axle length.
