Yikes. Cav well beaten by Chicchi and Haedo.

TDF flat stages might just get interesting all of a sudden.

He almost looked like he gave up. Almost.

...when he knew he was beaten. Looked like he was giving it his all until then. Got a good lead-out too...

Well, the party line will still be that he's looking to peak in July so nothing to worry about yet, etc, etc.

Not sure how good a lead out it was, hex left it with only him and renshaw going in that final corner and they were swamped anyways, looked to me like cav was forced to go early and haedo really put him up against it all to see chicchi swoop on like he did in Qatar to boonen.

Marcus was saying one of the few ways to beat Cav was to anticipate when he will turn on the gas because if he gets the jump on you you've had it. Maybe Chicci et al have been practicing slightly longer sprints? If I was them, I would be. Good finish though.

it did seem like cav had slightly longer to go in the sprint that he is probably normally used to and the guys were right with him at the point he was on his own

Renshaw was moaning on twitter about a QS rider giving him a left hook in the last few km....
