Im getting a new bike soon (once I decide what I want) to replace my current steed a 20" Apollo Mogul Ltd edition. Its in good nick and I have fitted it with Schwalbe city jet tyres I still have the knobblys.Depending on what I can get for it is it worth me selling it ?

Im just wondering if I could put some of the cash towards my new new bike to help me buy something even better.

If you are not going to use it, then might as well sell it.

    Oops sorry innocent mistake.
  • I doubt you'll get much for an Apollo. But it doesn't look too bad for cruising about on. Commuting, shopping bike?

It goes for £110 new so I'd chuck it on gumtree or similar and see if it goes - probably for a price involving 50% of the purchase price or thereabouts. If the money you might get from selling it isnt going to make a huge difference to what you buy keep it for the pub/shops.

I'd single speed it personally and use it as a runabout

Or you could just use it as a runabout WITH gears even.

Nahhhh... taking off the perfectly usuable gears, fitting a SS converter, chainguide and putting 1 ring up front makes perfect sense to me! :?

Well yea, but what i want from, a runabout is a bike that needs nearly no maintenance and can be forgotten about, so personally I'd ditch the gears for that

Not only that, but in towns and stuff I barely ever change gear anyway so there'd be no point in them if i didnt use them
