Come up with a fork that can be swaped between bikes by disconecting at the crown
Surely there must be some clever connector out there that would get around the issue of once you've cut the fork to length then your sort of limited as to what bike it will fit upon
Any thoughts?

but why?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Well I've just got some fox van 36's to fit on to a 456 summer season but also would like to have them on my sworks enduro but they are two different sizes
So to be able to swap them around easily I see as a benefit with out having to mess about with spacers etc
considering the price of these things compatability of being to change only a steerer tube seems reasonableI'm going to blow the bank on a new build ( within reason ) NOW DONE!!

Use an allen key....0 -
+1 on allen key, this is a quick job.Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?0

But it would compromise strength and TBH, would you really trust a QR Crown 36 Fox fork doing what it was designed for
And also you would still need to swap brakes between them so it doesn't really save much time and certainly doesn't make it toolless0 -
my main issue would be the huge potential for strength issues.Rock Lobster 853, Trek 1200 and a very old, tired and loved Apollo Javelin.0

If you want easy change forks, change back to a 1" threaded steerer with quill stem.
I changed the forks on my rat bike last night in less than 15 minutes, including changing the crown race over.Northwind wrote: It's like I covered it in superglue and rode it through ebay.0 -
