Went over to Dellamere Forrest last night and had a blast as at last it has dried out..if you keep to the perimeter you can get in around 12m...the routes are hard to find to link them but if youi know someone who rides there give it a go...it is great at the mo take some jungle juice to spray on as the mossies are out in force !

Yes i was there last night. Was a lovely evening for a ride.

Ive managed to create a loop round delemere but im sure im still missing quite a bit out particularly the last part which is mainly on the forest track.

I head out down past the cafe and up the road until i get to the delemere loop signs.

The path braches off to the right followed by a nice steep entry over roots onto a steep downhilly bit. Boardwalk then crosses a stream to a steep but up which i have yet to make it up yet.

Following the path on theres some nice little skinny bridges someone has built over some ditches.

This follows round to join up the forest track which crosses over a railway bridge.
Turning right after the railway bridge theres a nice bumpy decent to fly down to the road.

Head up the road 10m and cross and get onto another nice decent down to a stream crossing where you come out at the bottom of cycles skills area.

Ill ride up through the cycle skills area and have a few goes on the downhill / 4x track if theres not too may kids around then follow the path round to the right from the start of the 4x.

Theres some a couple of nice speedy descents / ascents before joining the forest track again.

Ill follow this round until a t-junction. At the t-junction ill turn left up the hill.

At the top of the hill turn right then left up grassy hill. Theres then a loop around a pond and down past a farm that brings you back to where this little loop began.

Theres then a really nice slow speed techy trail that someones built through the wood. Its really good fun if you can find it. Especially as its now dried out.

Then back onto the forest trail where you can get quite a bit of speed up cos of big hill.
Ive expored off this trail and found further stuff but last night just headed back along the forest track to the car park.

Which was does your route take you as id be interested in finding new trails especially if theres any hidden ones like the techy trail i mentioned.

Hoping to pop over on Saturday for another mooch.
Spent a while exploring some of the woodland trails last time I was out there, probably didn't even scratch the surface but managed to do about 12 miles, admittedly mainly on the fire trails.

Is the cycle skills area all contained on the other side of the road when you follow the 7 mile loop? I saw what I think is called the No Brains downhill from the bottom this time.

Managed to dab my foot down in a bloomin big muddy puddle. The stock 1.95 Tioga tyres on my bike, coupled with my lack of skill made for some entertaining moments in the puddles. I got heckled by someone who mistook me for his riding buddy.

Did about 13 miles in the baking sun today. Bugs everywhere!
I found one of the downhills with a few bumps and jumps leading in to the cycle skills area, just left of the No Brains downhill... I thought I was going down the nice steady hill I'd climbed up two weeks previously but then it just dropped away and there were drops and ramps everywhere. By that time I thought 'Oh well, no point stopping' and just went with it picking my way down the hill. Good confidence builder for a returning rider like me.

No jumps though. Never was a fan of jumping.

Even when I used to do 35 miles in a day I don't think I had as much fun as I had today.

just keep exploring. I think part of the fun of delemere is when you find new stuf!
