Wow, carbon sole shoes really do seem to make a different!

Got me a pair of Lake 235's from Wiggle the other day, and although I hadn't really thought about the fact they had a carbon sole, when I tried them I feel like I'm going just that bit faster on the bike now.
Like buying any new kit it would be easy to put this down to the placebo effect, but apart from the fact they fit me better than my old shoes, they do honestly feel more connected to the bike.

The fit is more likely to be a factor, but I do know exactly what you mean. My red venice sidis do seem to make me go sooooooooo much faster than my old specialised ones!0

A carbon sole will make a difference..... snappier acceleration, less twisting when climbing out of the saddle, more supportive..... I noticed a difference when i swapped and I am not a fast rider.0
