Another bb crank question

I have a 2008 Giant XTC 3.5 and i think the bottom bracket needs replacing. I'm happy to have ago at this myself.
I've been looking at this, Shimano Deore Chainset M590, and need to know if it would fit.
The chainset currently fitted is a Truvativ isoflow powerspline (well thats what it says on the crank arms).
I removed the seat post and useing a torch could see the numbers on the installed bottom bracket = 118mm spindle, 68mm shell and no spacers.
so, would it fit and be a fairly simple job with the right tools?
thanks

sure straight swap but you will need the BB shell faced. (LBS job)."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Hollowtech II chainsets and BBs fit any size of frame, by using the supplied spacers.0

Have you thought about just replacing the BB, and saving the bother of facing the frame?0
