wonder which "Italians" rode it in the Tour ? and I particularly like part of the description:
    Brake Type: Bianchi brake pads.....nice.
I just hope no one comes along and proves him right  ( :) )

For such an amazing piece of kit, the seller seems remarkably uninformed and seems to have posted general gibberish without actually telling potential buyers anything much of use!

WTF? Is anything on there true? They are selling it as new because it only has a few scratches?? The tyres are removable by hand so make sure you chain them up too?

Not sure the photos will be getting the NapD OCP award anytime soon either

Agree- judging by the seller's completely inept attempt at describing a bicycle, let alone a 'tour de france' racing bike, it is probably stolen.
    Avoid at all costs.

Definitely sus... Someone who owns a £1k+ bike is hardly going write things like the spokes are extra hard and the tyres come off easily and that it's extra smooth because of the thin carbon frame!

4 bidders though and already up to 225 quid.

There's hope for you yet if you still want to flog your CAAD9.

Just make sure you describe it as a 'thin carbon fibre frame'

No doubt some of the scratches could have been avoided if they'd jus not dropped the (horrible, horrible bike) on the floor to take a photo of it.

He's not specified if the wheels are the turny round type.

Does look like it's been stolen. Saw a scallie in town yesterday riding a fully tricked out Cannondale MTB. The cynic in me screamed 'He stole it, he stole it!!1one' - I think it was probably right.

It's a sad tale all round.

If you were the original owner you have awful taste (in bikes).

The original owner is probably very upset.

The thief (allegedly) didn't appreciate what they were nicking.

The "fence" will probably be stuck with it.

If not, the new buyer must be sadder and more tasteless than the original owner.

I think it's a nice bike. I'm not one for single colour or boring coloured bikes. I resprayed my old MTB red on one fork side and yellow on the other, the frame was quite an odd mix up too but it just, in my mind, added character.

There's no accounting for taste :P

Heh I bet that's what happened to the bike on ebay. Owner thought no one would steal such a gawdy coloured machine until one day a scallie with the same terrible taste as him appeared...

I don't think it's carbon either, looks like an aluminium frame.... if you look closely enough at the photos, you can make out the welding round the bottom of the down tube....

As is often the case - Buyer Beware.

eBay sent me a very nice automated email saying if I suspected it was stolen I needed to contact my police who would then be able to contact eBay. FFS!

That'll be because they really don't give a toss, but have to project an air of caring.

I love the fact that the bike is 'easily portable' I just hate bikes that aren't portable.

this is probably an even better description, this is translated to Italian and then translated back to English, class of the highest calibre, o yes:

"The voice that will sell you a Bianchi road bike tour. It was underway by the Italians during the 2005 Tour de France. It is a quality motorcycle with a carbon fiber chassis. The frame size are 49 cm, however the saddle can be adjusted so that the bike can be ridden by people taller. Has a saddle Bianchi San Marco done and designed in Italy. The Bike contains 18 gears Racing bike gear switches that are located under the brakes and next to them, that are selected with ease, making the gears of change.
This bike is the bike more uniform thanks to thin carbon fiber chassis. This is mainly because whites pneumatic components, however the rays are extra hard which makes the bike run more smoothly. The handle bar a blanket in Pink Ribbon loop that can be replaced or removed, revealing a black jack. He scratches minimal and is a couple of years ago that this is the reason I chose to keep it "New others (see details)" the bike is only 8 kg heavy and is easily portable and mobile. The dis tyres ascribes to hand so a warning; the tires should be concatenated as the frame.
The reason for me sell it is because I am getting a more recent and need money towards it.
    Happy offer J"
