Anybody know? Their evening highlights show was awesome last year.

Otherwise, what are my sans-sky options?

Did they not say last year they'd be showing more live coverage this summer?

There was a couple of live mountain stages last year I think?

Every stage live on ITV4. Ned Boulting said on Real Peloton podcast.

from memory, ned said on real peloton that there would be much more live coverage this year.
    I may have imagined this.

Nice that ITV4 have got it - but I won't be deserting David & Sean.
Has anyone else noticed that Sean sounds more cheerful than usual this year? Maybe Mrs Kelly has pushed the beds together...

Fingers crossed it's available on freeview, and not just via their red button service on Sky/Cable.

Why don't they show any interest in the Giro, La Vuelta..??

Or is that a silly question? i;e not enough interest from Joe Public...

I will watch on Eurosport and for those that don't have satelite or cable you can get the Eurosport player on the net and still watch it. You can even do that on a iphone \ ipod touch.

David and Sean are the best. I know Phil is a legned but as ITV 4 take the Versus commentary from the US it is very much just a report on what Lance is doing and too focused on one rider

I have grown to appreciate Eurosport over the last year but I will always watch the tour on ITV4 as the ighlights package is preoperly put together and a great hours entertainment

Yeah, if you like advert breaks. More like thirty minutes otherwise!

Reckon ITV 4's coverage is better than eurosport's, but the ad breaks are too long. Tend to start watching it on ITV, then switch to eurosport when the ads start, then forget to switch back!

Seem to remember that eurosport ran very few ads in some stages of the tour last year - think this was to snare viewers switching over from ITV like I do. With about 45 mins of a stage left to run, eurosport would announce their last ad break till the end of the race - good stuff.

The highlights show is pretty good on ITV 4 - Gary Imlach and Chris Boardman are a good combo.

I only have ITV4 so its got my vote for this year! Certainly much better than last years continuous repeats of the Saint and Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) :P

Eurosport for live coverage, ITV 4 for the highlights.

Unfortunatly their studio isn't in France, which would be great. Can't get it all though.

    For me, live is Eurosport.
    Highlights ITV.
    Like every year.

yes that's very true. Sky+ and starting watching about 15 minutes after it starts cures the irritation. But yes only 45 minutes of program isn't it

Why? Studio = Indoor box. It could be in Tokyo and it wouldn't matter would it?

I recollect ITV4 showing most of the stages live if you used the red button.

Paul and Phil are very good, but it is a little one-dimensional. I hadn't realised that the commentary was geared towards Versus coverage in the US, which would go someway to explaining why they spend huge amounts of the show talking about Lance, when there are more interesting things going on at the front of the race.

I'm warming more to Harmon - he's 'super' motivated this year. Sean is...........well.......................Sean, but that's no bad thing!

if Harmon stopped saying 'super' quite so often i would be even happier with him, but i've enjoyed all his commentary on the races i've seen this year (paris-nice, tour of turkey, flanders, paris-roubaix, and now the giro)

yes, but you can't sky+ red button coverage and I'm not in during the day. If all stages are live on ITV4 it hopefull means i can record it all rather than catching the end when I get home or having to avoid the Internet until 7pm for the highlights.
