Manchester Evening XC routes?
Hi all,
Can anyone suggest a XC route for the evenings, ideally 10 miles or more? I live in Swinton, Manchester and while somewhere like Lee Quarry isn't too far away, its quite short and is more technical than XC. I sometimes go to Llandegla at a weekend, but again over an hour in the car on an evening is a bit crap when you've been sat in traffic.
Thanks!

Well my mate has and he says it is very good for Salford. Obviously it is not as good as Llandegla or Lee Quarry, but is still ok, worth it if you live close0

Where is it? Might check it out as alternative to delemere. Is the mountain bike route built there yet? Has anyone any photos?0

What about Rivington and Darwen Tower0

Loads of good xc up Rivington and the surrounding area.
I work in Salford and regularly go to Rivington on my way home.
25 minutes to get there and then anything from 1 - 4 hours out on the bike.0 -
try a loop round rivington and to healy nab. easy to loop up to make a fun and challenging 10 mile ride that will be just right for an evening.
only about 20 mins from manchester down the M61 to chorley too.0
