Mismatched rims, hubs, the seatpost and the cranks are different shades of silver, and don't match the stem, the decking needs a clean, as could the wall..
But ignoring all that, it looks quite nice. Interesting mix of Shimano and Sram.0 -
Well err thanks for your quick observations
Its just work in progress bits get replaced as and when I can afford
Seat post is next to get replaced it was just a quick fix after I broke the last one.GT Zaskar Carbon

Mismatched? Shut up you nonce.
Lovely bike, and customed specced. Like mine.0 -
tidy. Looks fairly slack, how does it ride?i ride a hardtail0
-
I will say it looks slacker than mine - I think is an optical illusion.0

Lovely bike there sir.... a massive fan of those frames 8)0 -
Started off with a Zaskar LE bout 13 years ago that I bought second hand. That was built as a pure xc race bike low and lean. I have replaced every single bit so that nothing original remains.
The ride is fantastic I just love the stiffness of the Zaskar frames both old and new.
Not too bad on the weight, the scales at work say 13kg but they go up to 1500kg in 1kg increments so I think it is between 12 and 13kg.
The build is more heavyweight than light weight due to the fact I either break or wear out super light stuffGT Zaskar Carbon

You did get the tyre logos lined up though, that's the important thing.. The valves, however..
AND OMG THE VALVE CAPS ARE DIFFERENT COLOURS.

Of course, but as its your first try, I will be generous and let you off
I have to say I think that seatpost is growing on me, its starting to look quite nice in that frame.
How tall are you?0 -
6'2" but I have 35" inside leg. I'm just a lanky streak of pi55!GT Zaskar Carbon

Your handlebars are probably about right then, they looked a little high. What size frame?0

Takes the bumps well, better with the 130 reba's than the 100mm fox that died on me. Very composed in the rough. The frame rides like it has 2" elastomer travel at the back. The faster I go the smoother everything gets.GT Zaskar Carbon

200mm rotor on a Zasker......dude, I hope you are big, because that is just wrong! 70mm stem on there too? Man, it's one crazy build......but I like it!
Is it not a wee bit twitchy on the steep climbs though? Not really supposed to be that slack. I would be checking the underside of the headtube for cracks before every ride, spesh with a rotor of that magnitude and fork that long.
I'm sure GT have their carbon progamme under control.....or rather the 15yr olds who lay it up in Korea do.......
Ride on brother, ignore all who crit (me inc), and let thy Zasker part thee winds, for that surely, is what she was meant to do....Keep it to a dull roar...0 -
The faster I go the smoother everything gets
This is exactly what I keep saying. Is quite a strange sensation.
BTW, Hans Rey runs 140mm on his.0 -
tis a similar thing to on my aggressor. i think it must have something to do with the frame design, and the carbon must surely enhance that....
LUUURRRVVVELY bike by the way. really sweet.I like bikes and stuff0 -

oooooh, tasty :shock:0
