I am thinking of buying a pair of these shorts, no doubt about the quality but what size do i buy. I normally take an L or XL. I am 5Ft 6Ins tall but have short but muscular legs. According to the Assos website sizing chart i should be a size M. I am a bit confused any help much appreciated.

Don't know if it helps but I'm 5ft 9 ins tall, 25inch round my thighs, 31inch inside leg and I take a large in Assos bibshorts.

I'm 6'1 and 13 stone and the large fitted me perfectly even if I didn't like them

5,8, 30 inch inside leg, 24 inch thigh - size medium.

    I'd say you're medium.

I just received a pair from Ribble cycles and the sizing seems to have changed from last year. I have a pair of Mediums from about a year ago which fit fine, but the new pair are too big (loose around the grippers). I rang Ribble and was told that the shorts made in the Bulgarian factory are a bit bigger than those made in Switzerland (which my older pair were). So much for quality control. He said that all the latest batch are all made in Bulgaria.

Has anyone who has bought a pair recently got a Swiss pair?

I've just been to Evans and all their Assos bibs are made in Bulgaria, so beware if you are ordering a pair that the sizing may be a tad larger than they used to be.

I've sent mine back to Ribble and will now have to look for another brand, as Assos no longer fit me.
