Er not really Pro Cycling I guess.

Voucher was for 30% off Evans, but i think it was only for last weekend - so bit rubbish and i havent an Evans in driving distance anyway.

Routes were mainly recreational i thought - again none in my area and we'd prob find decent routes anyway if we were on holiday in the area. They did list some offroad (bikepath) routes too - but the well known ones - Tissington trail etc.

Nice to see cycling featuring in the mainstream though. Oh Mariella Frostrup waxing lyrical on her bike, and I didnt know Will Self rode fixed.

Thanks cougie from your description it all came flooding back.

Shows how much it impressed me. Was there anything for the North east?, there usually isn't.

Weren't Evans doing a similar offer generally?, I'm sure I got an e-mail from them.

Re mainstream journalism, The Sunday Times, to be fair, has two sections in the In-Gear section for cyclists, intelligent style as well.

 Didn't do bold well did it?

My Dad and me were along the causeway coast in Northern Ireland (the ride that starts from Cushendun) last summer. Some great climbing and descending, and so close to the sea as well. At times you felt if you made a wrong move you'd be swimming rather than falling down a mountain!

If anyone's in Ireland, I recommend a weekend up the north coast! Roads are so quiet but some great, great scenery and riding there

You could use the voucher online but it was only for certain bikes and 20% off spesh helmets, so not a lot of use really. Some of the rides look interesting, each ride has a web address so you can download GPX files from whatever route planning website they used.
