Was out today and did a large part of the route of this and it's fantastic.
From home I headed up to the start at Crich and on through to Hathersage before going my own way.
Scenery up on the tops is beautiful.
I've only actually done this event once (I've been on hols 3 times while it's been on, got married(once!) and this year I'm on the Dragon Ride so not poss yet again) and even then didn't finish it due to a broken pedal axle but often ride parts of the route and it fails to impress me out that way.
And it's only £7 to enter because it's an Audax - not as fasionable as the sportives but at this price and with the great route it;s a bargain.
If you've never been to this part of the Peak district give it a try - you won't be dissapointed.
