OK guys what's the best I can get for less than £150
So far the best I've got is an Ultegra SL for £139 at Merlin
Anyone seen any other bargains.

the 6700 is definitely a candidate but you're kinda limited to the 50 ring, which might not suit everyone. And replacement rings won't be cheap...
I picked up a RF Cadence for £100 new which is as good as the 6600 Ultegra I had before it. Very stiff and good rings.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0 -
Cheers guys,
I'm running an RF Cadence at the moment, thing is replacement rings aren't cheap!
Replacement rings just seem so expensive. It seems cheaper to buy a whole chainset.www.icenivelo.co.uk - Norfolks most inclusive cycling club0 -

one more point: BBs are much more limited if you go for a GXP setupFacts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0

Are you saying compact chainrings are much more than doubles, or 6700 in general?0 -
No, it's just that the Shimano hollow rings that are expensive
the Dura Ace ones are daft - £150?

not sure about the Ultegra ones
Obviously you could run a standard ring (TA etc.) but it might look a bit silly on the Ultregra spiderFacts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0 -
A really easy question; get the Campag UT CT (2008) from GB Cycles at £80 and
£15 for the B/B. Then spend the £55 saving on some really good tyres, or whatever you fancy next.0 -
Hmm I'm thinking about just replaving the rings on my Raceface Cadence chainset.
Stronglight or TA...?
Anyone got any recommendations?www.icenivelo.co.uk - Norfolks most inclusive cycling club0
