Has anybody experienced a small hairline crack in the seat tube of the Wilier Izoard Athena 2010? After my first outing, I noticed a small crack appear midway down the seat tube. Wilier replaced the frame, however the same thing has happened again.

Are you using a torque wrench to tighten it or just a normal allen key?

That is slightly worrying given I've just bought one, however, the Izoard is a few years old now so it shouldn't be a design issue?

Do you have a picture of the crack?

Carbon frame - make sure post clip is slightly offset and the pinch point on the clip is not sitting in the cut on the frame. As you tighten the clip you run the risk of pressure between the cut out on the frame causing it to split/fracture.

I've had both a 2008 and 2009 frame ('08 replaced under warranty due to white paint turning custard) but I've not had any bother with the seat tube on either frame.

Is the crack in the section immediately below the seatpost clap before it reaches the top tube?

Thanks for all the responses. It is a hairline crack half way down the seat tube and is on the white lacquer area, below the depth of the seat post.
