With the Team Sky jersey being very popular, it's bound to sell well. So hase anyone seen someone out riding in one yet? Professional riders don't count and as does buying one for yourself, standing in front of the mirror and saying "yup, I've seen one..."

At £70 for a simple lycra top I won't be bothered. I'll go to Sports Direct, buy a Karrimor cycle top for 8.99, and write SKY in chalk on the back. Done and dusted.

Or maybe write Sky on the front? The back isn't the same. Guessing you haven't seen one yet then? But for everyone who does want one (and I'm not sure yet) you can get them from Pro Bike Kit using the promo code mega10 for £57 or so. And no, I don't work for Pro Bike Kit or Sky...

I drove past someone yesterday who was wearing a Team Sky jersey.

I was driving my Sky Van which has the British Cycling Team wrap.

Seen them on Wiggle, that's where I got the price from. £57 is still a lot though for a top - mind you it's no worse than football shirts from your fave teams. Now when I get paid employment again I'll be joining everyone else in the buying expensive clothing game :) Not long now! Wooo.

Hope you get some full time employment soon mate, then maybe you can get one of these bad boys from Wiggle...

Rupert Murdoch can suck my balls sideways before I buy into his insane TV network (a football fan, and I'd like Eurosport for the cycling and FIA GT coverage) but I am tempted by a Sky jersey.

You can stream Eurosport live online for £4 a month. Obviously no footy but you'll get the Cycling and FIA GT.

As for the Jersey - don't beat yerself up about it. I very much doubt it's the Sky logo that attracts you to it and more the fact that it's the British team jersey.

Me? I wouldn't be seen dead in one. It' not that I don't like it - I do. I think it's a nice looking kit. However, I can't imagine anything worse than jumping out of my Sky van, into a Sky jersey and onto me bike for a ride lol. It'd be a bit sad.

£57! Good job it's not made by Assos (or Rapha) :D
The Karrimor Jersey from Sports direct is very good though.

Saw one Friday in Bristol. Fully kitted out in SKY kit top to bottom, but on a Cervelo.

Looked good and whoever he was looked lively on his bike....

How about another thread on the rights and wrongs of wearing the Rapha Condor Sharp jersey which retails at double the price of the Sky jersey. That could be fun :D

Hehe, no worse than supporting your local footy club by wearing their strip. that said when I do go for a cycling kit it won't be for the team it'll be the design - the gawdier the better!

I prefer to wear unusual (uncommon) jerseys. Just like the one on the left.

Cause unlike other replicas it is actually a quality shirt. Not just screen printed cheap polyester.

There's a reason why that jersey is uncommon

Saw a couple of of guys testing the stretchiness of Cervelo branded lycra to the limits in Exeter yesterday, maybe they are a different branch of the test team ensuring that the squad's clothing doesn't restrict movement

Shame they were riding Specialized bikes
