A cyclist has died after an accident involving a lorry in Margate.

Kent Police said the man, who was in his 60s, was fatally injured in the crash in Marine Terrace at about 0345 BST.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital (QEQM) in Margate where he died.

The road was closed for nearly six hours to allow the emergency services to investigate. Kent Police have appealed for witnesses.
