Bib shorts and a tight fitting top should be ideal for summer when it eventually arrives. You may also want to get a base layer and/or a long sleeve jacket or arm/leg warmers for adaptability from cold mornings to warm afternoons.
Dhb from wiggle are cheap and good quality kit.0 -

99/100 people on here will tell you that bib shorts are better than regular shorts. The main reason is that bib shorts do away with an elastic waist band which will dig into your stomach when riding. They also eliminate your jersey riding up and leaving your back exposed to the wind.
Basically they are just more comfortable.0 -

Agreed - most folks on here recommend bibs. However, I've never used them a don't have a problem with normal shorts/tights/etc. The 'waistband' is not bulky and doesn't dig in at all (IME). It's not like I'm wearing a belt with 'em!
I didn't want to splash out on more expensive bibs unless I had to, and so far I've not felt the need.
Padded shorts/bibs, however, are essential!0 -
right fair enough a bib it is then :P haha
thanks for the replys0
