It's coming along nicely.

The entire bike cost me £230 from Rutland Cycles' ebay store. Cheap like the budgie :D

You can see where costs have been cut, ie the paint isn't very hard wearing at all and the welding around the cable guides looks liked it was done by a Mr S Wonder.

It came as a single speed, but I'm going to run it 1x9 for now and see how I get on.

All that's left over from when I got the bike is, the frame, the BB, the cranks and chain ring and the headset.

I'm just waiting on a chain guide, brake rotors and some cable outers to come in the post and it should be good to go. Happy days..............

    The bell is from OnOne.........

It's a ladybird though, not a ladybug damn Americanisms

Yep £230 for the whole bike, bargain :D

The OE finishing kit it comes with is very low rent as you would expect. I swapped the fork today I think the OE one was made from lead

I sold my old epic frame for £400 and the fork for £160 so I've used that to buy the bike, fork etc and then used whatever stuff I had left over from in epic/ in the shed to build the 29'er.

Yah Woodnut, I cant kill it. I just changed the crank, chain & cassette for hopefully another 10,000km (was my commuter as well at bush basher).

Cant beat chome moly frames for strength & adding concrete to your ride for you to harden up.

I will post some more pics in my own thread when I get time later.

Cheers. Funny you should say about the matt black, I was thinking about getting it powder coated matt black once it gets a bit more battered.................There's a place near me that powder coated my old roadbike for £15  Did a good job of it too.

Thanks CheeheeI I forgot to mention I like the look of your Diamond too.

I was out at Stromlo yasterday ( where the worlds were held last Septemeber) & I was getting heaps of looks. I even rode stuff that some people on more expensive bikes were walking down :).
