A clipless moment last night

On my way home last night a car in front decides at the last minute to stop at the lights which are about to change. I concentrate on braking as well as changing down through the gears. Unfortunately I forget about unclipping and slowly (but in my mind at least) quite gracefully fall to my right in front of the car which had decided to stop.

Even more unfortunately I was at the junction with Westminster Bridge and Parliament Square at the time. Cue laughing from dozens of tourists, cue rather inpolite swearing at said tourists from yours truly.

Those lights seemed to take for ever to change back to green

    Had two recently.

On Tuesday I pulled up in queing traffic. I'd unclipped as I slowed but I managed to clip in again just as I got to the point where I needed to put my right foot down. Much wobbling, swearing and ankle grinding later I managed to release my left foot and come to a fairly ruffled standstill.

This morning, on the MTB, I was coming down a steep(ish!) bank and the front wheel started to slip away from me under braking. I usually unclip both feet on that section but, for some reason, I was still fully clipped in. Again, much wobbling and swearing later I managed to recover the skid although I did go quite a long way across the grass.

    oops!

Not a clipless moment , but a while back I lost it on packed snow.
Right by a stationary bus with plenty of passengers.
Where are they when you want one ?
