Where can I buy 5mm plastic ferrules (in bulk) ?

I'm looking to get about 300 - 500. I need them ASAP.

Preferably shimano ones...

Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

If it's any help I bought some from EBay from a user named tull123monkey.

Not sure they were shimano but came in quick time.

Madison do them in bulk for workshops in bike shops. Might be worth checking with your LBS to see when they are next placing an order

That shop is new to me.

I couldn't find anything listed under either the "brake cables" section or the "gear cables" section. I might have to ring around I think.

Sorry, Madison is Shimanos UK distributor. They do a number of items in bulk for use in workshops. I had to order a few tubs of them when I worked in a bike shop a few months ago. I have just noticed that your location is not UK based however. I would pop into your local bike shop and ask to see the local Shimano distributors catalogue, and they should be able to help you out. I'm pretty sure that Jagwire also do the ferrules in bulk.

Well the local Jagwire rep was absolutely no help whatsoever when I wanted [needed] to buy replacement cables... he told me I had to have a traditional "brick and mortar" style shop to be able to sell them to me. Or something along those lines. I reckon he just couldn't be arsed selling them to me ... so I basically let him have it "and you lot wonder why Spain is in a major economic crisis... I'll just end up buying them from Germany or whatever" I told him.

The local bike shop hasn't been much help in this regard...

I wouldn't know where would be best for you to get them from though, distributor may be able to help, but as you have already found out, most will only deal with places they can set up an account with. Sorry dude, don't know what to suggest. As GlenWatt said, eBay may be a good option, but if you were after branded goods, they may be hard to come by. Shame your LBS is useless, they would be able to sort this in seconds for you :roll:

Just bought three sets of 10xJagwire on ebay, £1.99 per set. That'll do me for a year or so. Seller (mawracing) still has 12 sets available.
