You doing it on your own or as a supported tour, heatonrider?

Temp varies greatly between the bottom and top of the Rockies, so take cool weather gear. I found that winter longs, jersey, Sealskinz socks and a Goretex Windstopper jacket and gloves were perfect for the top (bear in mind that I don't feel the cold as much as others). Likewise if you're camping a 4 season sleeping bag - if it's too warm use it as a blanket or just lie on top of it.

Take lots of memory cards for your camera; the scenery's superb. As are the Canadians.

I loved the place. You'll have a great time.

Give us a bit more info and I'll (we'll) be better able to help.

In 94 we flew into Seattle, got hire van and rode clockwise.

Rode 1,000km drove bout another 3,000km. 21 days.

Rode to Vancouver, to Whistler and days descending there.( BC/Alberta. )
Then to Golden, Waterton Peace Park, ( Best Place ever,) Radium Hot Springs.
Down past Chief Mountain, into Montana, Idaho, back to Seattle.

Got on TV/Radio/papers for raising money for Cancer research.

Fantastic, late Indian Summer, 65 degree most days, cold at night. Motels, hotels, camped.

    Trip of 10 Lifetimes!
