To Leeds.
Am moving from Edinburgh to Leeds this Saturday so goodbye to glentress till I get a car (which wont be till after July).
Anyone else here on MTBLeeds or Singletraction who I might have annoyed/spoken to before?

I'm in Leeds, and I know a few others that are too.
Whereabouts are you moving to? We can show you some decent trails (though, having come back just last weekend from a trip to GT, I can assure you that you'll be quite dissapointed) if you like.It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

Alright Mule.
I'll be in Harehills for a few months at least (working in Cross Gates so will probably be sticking round that area).
I know the trails down there aren't quite up to GT standards for DH but if there's riding to be had I'll be there! Am hoping to get involved in the digs at Stainburn as well.
Would be good to meet a few folk down that end. I've got a few mates still there from uni days but none who are into biking and am always up for meeting new folk.
I'll be all tied up this weekend but I'll be free after that if your ever planning anything. Just let me know and I'll do what I can to come along.Kona Stinky Six

There's some good trails around Cross Gates (I'm not that far away from there in Roundhay at the moment, though I move to Pudsey at the end of this month). Me and some friends usually go around Meanwood and Adel. It's a little trek for you from Harehills, but it's worth it. It's more xc though. The dh in Leeds is pretty poor.
I have a mate that builds at Stainburn (not sure if he's on here, Unklehomer's his name on other forums I use) and he loves it. I've yet to get over there to check it out, but definitely worth it.
Also, we're not far from the Colne Valley, which has some amazing trails, with great climbs and descents. Not sure if you have transport, but if not, I'm sure others won't mind givin you a lift (including me once I've sorted these bloody Thule bars out ) Let me know when you're settled in and ready to explore. It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

I am sorry for you.
we had an office in that area. If you have anything of value make sure it can not be seen.
OK it was about 15 years ago."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Cheers Mule. I really should have thought it through and taken the Scrap down with me first. But that's now up north with the folks waiting for some fun at Laggan, which means I'm stuck with the Stinky. Still that only means I'll get fitter quicker I'm sure
I'll drop you a PM when I'm settled and hopefully get something sorted out!
and nicklouse, I used to live in East End Park so have a fairly good idea of what the area's like (though it might have changed). I'll be making sure the bike is inside when I'm at home though and plan on getting some uber insurance for it to make sure I'm covered for all possibilities. I've already lost a rather expensive bike to the insurance gods so don't plan on making the same mistake again.Kona Stinky Six
