Hi folks, who's had any recent experience with Dave Hinde Racing?
Having a delivery issue and having done a Google on this there seems to be a history of delivery issues with this company in past years.
Difficult to know with old posts whether problems still exist or what the resolution of them were so wondering if anyone has any recent experience of delivery issues.
Cheers.

Oh dear! Be prepared to be called a thief among other less polite names!!!0 -
Never heard of this firm but looking over the net they seem to be well known since at least 2003 as offering awful service. I'm surprised they're still in business!Do not write below this line. Office use only.0

They're, shite!
I bought a pair of bar ends off them, from their Fleaby shop.
Luckily I paid with Paypal, so after a few weeks of no bar ends & no reply to any questions via eBay or direct e-mail, one uncontested Paypal complaint later I got a refund.
Sometime later, I got a weasley e-mail apology asking me to withdraw my -ve feedback as they'd had (insert excuse).
Useless tossers.Remember that you are an Englishman and thus have won first prize in the lottery of life.0 -
did they leave you some nice feedback ?

Errr - yep. The thing i don't get is how a company can still be in business if it's that bad. I've had one stroppy individual who seemed upset by me querying the number of Internet threads re service. Bit of a shame really when i gave him every chance to resolve it.
Thanksfully i can ride this weekend without the parts now, and i guess I just wait 30 days (well 23 now) now and file for the refund with Visa.
Hey ho, now I know.
So if shops are bad - why are they not shut down?
Reason might be hassle and process i suppose - for example visa - phone is back in 30 days sir. Post office - let us know in 14 days sir. Eventually folk will get bored i guess.
Well for me there's enough money to formalise a complaint, so I reckon if the items don't turn up (and fair play if they do) then it's time to get official. Which is of course also stressful which might be relied on to put people off. And heaven knows how long it will take too.

a lot of people dont go on forums like this and so they see Dave Hindes good looking adverts in the cycling mags and cheap prices, then they order something and a lot have problems with him, then said people find a cycling forum like this and wish they had done a search first,a couple of years ago i nearly ordered a set of wheels from him but on here saw all the s**t people had with Hinde and quickly changed my mind.0

It is amazing that firms like this are able to continue operating. Just shows how toothless bodies like Trading Standards really are. A quick search of the net reveals negative comments and discussions on cycling forums going back as far as 2003, if you dig deeper, perhaps comments go back even further. What a bunch of cowboys.Do not write below this line. Office use only.0

Yeah I've had a bad experience with them - not your usual poor service more along the lines of taking payment for goods and then refusing to send the stuff or refund me - thieves wouldn't be putting it too strongly.
it's a hard life if you don't weaken.0 -
Well, here's the result. I know not yet what the business operating model is, but I do have my discs.
Therefore I have received my goods as promised, just 6 days (5 days excl Sun) later than expected.
I note from my delivery that my discs were in fact posted Special Delivery, which implies to me they were probably only posted a day or two ago, as special delivery in my experience ALWAYS arrives on time).
So while this is ony speculation, either there was an admin problem at their end and stuff never got posted so they've posted it late, or the items weren't in stock and they had to take longer to get them. Gioven i asked both of those questions to DHR and the reply was negative, and I was told they were posted last Thur first class more than once, so something isn't quite right.
End result is though I have my items so only issue is not being given the right info re the delivery, which could be for any number of reasons.
When Royal Mail upload the proof of Delivery it might contain the pickup details aswell. if I find that out then i'll know for usre when they were posted.0
