Repainting De Rosa

I am the process of building a De Rosa Merak which was given to me by a friend. The rear triangle and forks are carbon fibre and the rest is aluminium. I have stripped it back to bare aluminium ready for painting but am unsure what to do next. I have never painted a frame before and do not want to make a mess of it. Can anyone recommend somewhere near Gatwick that may be able to spray it for me? Or give me some pointers on how to do it myself? Please

I'm just waiting for a steel frame to come back from a paintshop. I found that there were a good hald dozen local powder coating companies that were willing to both strip/blast the old paint and powder coat the prepared frame for £45-65.

My situation is, perhaps, different from yours in that mine is a steel frame, I'm up for cheap/cheerful and I'm in the Bath area. However, powder coating may be worth a Google.

There is also the possibility that when it comes back it will look horrendous, but hopes are high...
