Hi there!
We are brand new to mountain biking, having just started this month and are starting to look for good bikes for beginners to improve on!
We have a chalet out in Bulgaria which we run in the winter for skiing, however we are looking to start doing activity holidays in the Summers...
We're just getting started with the biking and have been going out with the guides over here but what we really want to know is what do you guys look for in your biking holiday - do you prefer to have guided days or just the option of a guide for your first couple of days?
Would you want breakfast, picnic lunch/tavern stops and evening meal with wine all included or a bit more freedom to eat out in the evenings?
Staying in mountain refuges overnight or just heading up the mountain every morning and staying in the nice comfortable chalet for the nights?
We have the ski chalet thing all sorted but as this is a bit different we want to ask the experts! We've put a bit of info on our website at http://www.christopherchalets.co.uk/mountainbiking but we're building a whole new summer section at the moment, so the last question is what info would you want to see on the site - lots of details about the trails or are maps and photots better?
Sorry for all the questions but any comments and ideas will be hugely appreciated as we are complete beginners!

  • Best advice I can offer is to research other well established company's and see what they offer.

I think the quality of the trails and standard of guiding need to be the number one focus, everything else can be forgiven but the main point of the holiday is to enjoy the riding

being new to mountain biking myself I'd say if I was going on a biking holiday I'd want well knowledgable guides that can give good suggestions etc but as for when it comes to the actual riding I don't want to be ina big group with a guide taking me round. There'll be 90 year olds and all sorts there going 3mph all the way and will have to wait for them etc.
