Hi, I am quite new to cycling and have bought an old bike (around 15 years I think). It has a different type of headset to what I am used to (it has a threaded one). I wanted to change the forks (currently RST 381, to RS Sids 02 that I have in the garage!) but I want to know if I can change th headset to a normal one? I already have a stem and bars to use. I have never bought or removed a headset so also want to know:
a) if it is easy to do?
b) what type/size etc am I looking for with a headset or will any cheap one from CRC do?

The frame is a Ridgback 706 competition if that makes any difference.

Thanks :)

as long as the steerer tubes are the same diameter (1 1/8th") then just fit a new Aheadset and sorted.
