Just wondering if anyone has one, and if they are any good ?
I don't really trust reviews as I used to have an HTC Touch HD that was well rated, but I thought it was lacking in many ways..
I was tempted by an Iphone but Orange have offered me a pretty good deal...

I got mine at the weekend and am more than happy with it (other than battery life which is well reported)
I suppose it depends on what you are used to - its my first phone change in 5 years or so, so is bound to be much better...0 -
Sounds good! Does it actually work well as a phone ? So many smartphones seem a bit rubbish when it comes to actually making calls :?0
-
Yes - seems as good as my old Samsung as a phone.
Only pain in the neck has been when on phone numbers with a numeric menu thingy and you have to enter numbers to get the right menu - i keep hitting the wrong number! (more user incompetence than anything wrong with the phone - texting works fine) minor quibble and not really a big issue, if I ever develop any co-ordination it should resolve it0 -
I've pretty much settled on this as my next phone, so I'm pretty interested to see what people think of it. I really liked it when I tried it in the shop."Impressive break"
"Thanks...
...I can taste blood"0 -
I've just got an HTC Legend. It cheaper than the Desire, and as far as I could see in the shop, there was little practical difference. I like it very much, so I don't think you'll go far wrong with the Desire0

Going for an iphone myself. I use my ipod for watching videos but could do with something with a bigger screen. Although I want to punch myself for wanting what I would previously call a "weasel phone" Friend at work has just got the HTC with the amoled screen and it is awesome.

Just waiting for O2 to get their finger out and release the Desire. I have an old Sony Ericson at the moment. The one thing I'm worried about is that I don't exactly look after my phone. It gets bunged in my back pocket whenout on the bike along with gells, rain jacket, spare tubes etc.
I wish you could keep two phones with the same number, one for good and one for scruffy stuff.0 -
I am going to keep my old one as a spare on PAYG for the commute to work/MTB/road etc

I'm the same, but I always put my phone in a reusable food bag in my back pocket and after 18 months it still looks in good condition despite the horrible winter!
I was tempted by an IPhone as my wife has one and I think it is fantastic, but I just can't get over how much I dislike Apple and their lack of openess. It's silly of me really because it's just a phone !0 -
I've had mine for over a month and think it is brilliant. My one single complaint is that if you try to power it off it takes ages to do so.
Internet viewing on it is perfect, the screen is crisp and the phone is responsive. The basics (texting and phoning) work well.
I've converted a view videos, so also use it as my media player - something it does well. At some point soon they are apparently bringing out an update to allow it to play divx, which will make it even better!
If you aren't constantly playing with the phone, battery life is more than adequate. Otherwise it does require regular charging, but that is no surprise.0 -
I love mine, best toy I have 8) . Cant stop playing with it, quicker processor that the Legend which is the model down. My Desire was free, not seen them cheaper than that anywhere. Once I stop fiddling with it the battery life might get toward being acceptable and at the moment I cant find out how to make the phone switch itself on to wake me up in the morning like all of my other phones have done.
I hate apple too and this is a Godsend0 -

My last few posts have been made with my desire. Thankfully the predictive text is very good as I appear to have sausages for fingers :oops:0
